BNEW 2022 will bring together 600 speakers to discuss the most revolutionary topics concerning the 4.0 economy

  • The panels, sessions and debates planned for the third edition of the event, to be held in the DFactory building from October 3rd to 6th, will address issues such as industrial digitalization, urban mobility or circular economy.

  • The Inspirational Speakers sessions, promoted by the CZFB, are one of the main attractions of the third edition of the event, in which personalities such as Josef Ajram, specialist on stock exchange and markets, will take part.

 

Barcelona, September 14, 2022.- The third edition of the Barcelona New Economy Week (BNEW), organised by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB), is coming to DFactory Barcelona from October 3rd to 6th with a successful disruptive format, with the aim of bringing together and leading the technological and economic transformations at a global scale.

During these four days, the BNEW will bring together 600 speakers who will offer up to 180 hours of content distributed in 130 panels, sessions, and debates to address different issues that revolve around the seven selected themes: Digital Industry, Real Estate, Mobility, Talent, Sustainability, Invest and Experience.

The event will be held once again in person in the impressive DFactory Barcelona building, the main Industry 4.0 hub in Southern Europe, but it will also maintain its hybrid nature, so that all the conferences can also be attended online.

 

Top-tier speakers to stimulate discussion at all levels

Characterised by its transformational and global character, the event will be attended by hundreds of experts with different profiles who will share their views on various issues and will be presenting from many different angles the keys to continue moving towards Industry 4.0.

BNEW Mobility will become the main meeting point of the sector, which will be attended by important figures such as Sara Aagensen, Secretary of State for Energy at the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge; Pere Navarro Olivella, Managing Director of the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT); Marta Subirá, Chairperson of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya; and Arturo Pérez de Lucía, CEO of the Business Association for the Development and Promotion of Electric Mobility (AEDIVE), among other renowned participants.

On the other hand, some of the experts on sustainability who will participate in the BNEW Sustainability sector are Josefina Lindblom, senior policy officer at the European Commission; Eva Saldaña, Executive Director of Greenpeace Spain; or Francesc Reguant, Chairman of the Agri-Food Economy Commission of the College of Economists of Catalonia.

To address the main challenges posed by the future of the real estate sector, BNEW Real State will bring together speakers such as Ismael Clemente, CEO of MERLIN Properties; Javier Burón, housing Manager at the City Council of Barcelona; Gerard Duelo, Chairman of the General Council of the Official Associations of Real Estate Agents of Spain, the Barcelona Coapi and the Association of Real Estate Agents of Catalonia; and Xavier Vilajoana, Chairman of the Association of Developers of Catalonia (Apce); among others.

Moreover, the BTalent sector will seek answers to new training and employment needs from specialists such as Raül Blanco, General Secretary for Industry and SMEs at the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism; Conxita Font, Head of EU Funds, Foreign Affairs and European Union Secretariat, Government of Catalonia; and José Luis Regaliza, Head of Recruitment, Training and Development at El Corte Inglés.

In the BNEW Invest major sector, figures such as Juan Pablo Rivera, CEO of the Bogotá Free Trade Zone (Colombia); Carlos Wong, CEO of the Coyol Free Trade Zone (Costa Rica); or Maria Camila Moreno, Executive Director of the Free Trade Zone Association of the Americas (AZFA); will meet to explore new investment trends and destination opportunities to establish new businesses.

Finally, BNEW Digital Industry will feature speakers including Chandana Fitzgerald, CEO and medical director of HEALTH XL; Pedro Mier, President of the Multisectoral Association of Spanish Electronics and Communications Companies (AMETIC); or Daniel Setó, CEO of ALISYS; to discuss issues related to Industry 4.0, technological development and innovation centres, Artificial Intelligence and IOT, among others.

In addition, the new edition of the BNEW will host the testimonials of four Inspirational Speakers who will share their knowledge and experiences on the main trends in the sector: Josef Ajram, specialist on stock exchange and markets; Mar Romera, specialist on emotional intelligence; Ramon Fauria, Corporate mentalist; and Laura Rojas-Marcos, Doctor in Psychology.

“Industry 4.0 is advancing at such a rapid pace that we must be prepared for the challenges and opportunities that await us in the near future”, says Pere Navarro, the Special State Delegate at the CZFB. “With this new edition of BNEW, we want to analyse the transformation undergone by each sector in the advance towards the new economy and, in order to do so, it is essential to have access to the knowledge and experience of the best experts in each area”.

Blanca Sorigué, CEO of the CZFB, states that “the debates and the Inspirational Speakers sessions are two of the main attractions of the BNEW, which will be broadcasted simultaneously on all the platform’s channels”. “The testimonials of the top-level speakers who will be participating in the event will provide attendees with many examples of how to start up or steer their businesses towards Industry 4.0”, she adds.
