BNEW has opened the call to the Barcelona Start-up Innovation Hub

  • The Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona and La Salle Technova Barcelona are promoting the participation of start-ups in BNEW as a way to boost their business.

 

  • All newly created companies will compete for the second edition of the Best Innovation Award – BNEW 2021.

 

  • The registration period starts today and will close on June 28th.

 

Barcelona, 17 May 2021. – The Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB), has opened todady the call to the Barcelona Start-up Innovation Hub within the framework of the Barcelona New Economy Week (BNEW) second edition. BNEW is a hybrid B2B event to be held between October 5 and 8. In collaboration with La Salle Technova Barcelona, ​​the CZFB encourages the participation of companies from any part of the world that have been created in the last three years and whose activity fits within the sectors present at BNEW. Thus, all start-ups in the fields of logistics, real estate, e-commerce, digital industry, economic zones, mobility, science, talent and sustainability are welcome.

The first eight companies from each sector to register will be able to do so at no cost and the rest will have a reduced participation cost. The objective of the Barcelona Start-up Innovation Hub is, on the one hand, to find new companies that revolutionize the aforementioned sectors and, on the other, to give them the opportunity to be part of an innovation environment, with multiple opportunities to create synergies and generate business using the BVillage tool. Through BVillage, a unique space with a high component of artificial intelligence, companies will be able to show their products and services and hold videoconference meetings with attendees from anywhere in the world.

Likewise, all the companies that are part of this Barcelona Start-up Innovation Hub will participate in the BNEW 2021 Best Innovation Awards, whose jury will be made up of representatives of the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona and La Salle Technova Barcelona. The first edition granted the awards to, Vottun, Rinbo, E4-3D, Oimo and Exum, in an act that took place in Estación de Francia during the last day of BNEW and that was chaired by King Felipe VI and the president of the Government, Pedro Sánchez.
