BNEW Startup Innovation Hub 2025 will feature more than 120 emerging companies

  • The five best start-ups in each vertical will present their projects in a 5-minute pitch to a specialist audience of potential investors and customers on Tuesday 30 September at midday.

 

  • The BNEW 2025 Best Start-up Awards ceremony will be held on Wednesday 1 October at 7.30 p.m. on the BNEW Talent set located in the DFactory Barcelona Auditorium.

 

Barcelona, 18 September 2025. – More than 120 emerging companies have been selected to participate in the BNEW Startup Innovation Hub 2025, as part of the sixth edition of Barcelona New Economy Week (BNEW), which will take place from 29 September to 2 October at DFactory Barcelona. The event, organised by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB), is once again establishing itself as a leading meeting point for companies, entrepreneurs and investors.

The BNEW Startup Innovation Hub will once again serve as a showcase for emerging companies to present their projects and display the latest innovations in the different sectors represented at the event: Aviation, Health, Digital Industry, Mobility, Sustainability, and Talent. Those selected by the committee of experts as the five best start-ups in each vertical will have the opportunity to present their innovative projects to a specialised audience, international companies, investors, potential customers and venture capital firms in a five-minute pitch on Tuesday 30 September at midday on the Talent vertical stage.

In addition, during the four days of the event, all participating startups will have access to different spaces and tools for networking, either in the form of B2B meetings or through messaging via the BNEW digital platform.

The finalists in the BNEW Aviation vertical are: Your Accessible Flight, Pirineos Drone, Arboleda Intelligence, Cubehub and Grasshopper Air Mobility. In BNEW Digital Industry, the selected companies are: FACTIC, Llamalo AI, Findur, Apolo and Secrets Vault. Among the startups participating in BNEW Health, the following stand out: Nexi Health, AiMA beyond Ai, LIFE Neurotech, ABCDx and Haptika Medical Technologies. The finalists in BNEW Mobility are: Envimo, T TORCH smart urban solutions, Soluciones de Movilidad, ABERVIAN and HSG. At BNEW Sustainability, the selected companies are: Methanol Reformer, Kimedes AI, CLIC RECYCLE, AquaGrid Analytics and Ealyx. Finally, the startups participating in the pitches at BNEW Talent are: The Consulting Solutions, CISEC, Telar de Cuentos, ReflectEasy and JoG Formacion.

 

Best BNEW 2025 Startup Award

The more than 120 projects participating in the BNEW Startup Innovation Hub will also be candidates for the Best BNEW 2025 Startup Award, which will recognise the best startup in each vertical. The awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday, 1 October at 7:30 p.m. on the BNEW Talent set, located in the DFactory Barcelona Auditorium.

A jury made up of a committee of experts has been responsible for selecting the finalist startups that will participate in the pitches, as well as the winning startups in each category. To do so, it will evaluate the solutions presented based on the project’s impact on the industry, the management capacity of the teams, and the high-value technological solutions that offer sustainable competitive advantages. In addition, sustainable growth potential, influence on the economy and society in general, and the start-up’s high level of innovation will also be taken into account.

It is expected that among the professionals attending BNEW, start-ups will also have a significant presence, exceeding last year’s figure of 1,500, which represents around 10% of the total number of attendees.
