Barcelona, 7 July 2025. – The Barcelona New Economy Week (BNEW) 2025, organised by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB), will celebrate its sixth edition from 29 September to 2 October at DFactory Barcelona, the internationally recognised industry 4.0 ecosystem. The event will maintain its hybrid format, with all content streamed and networking initiatives held both digitally and in person, connecting seven of the main sectors of the new economy: Aviation, Health, Digital Industry, Talent, Sustainability, Mobility, and Experience.
The event, which maintains its position as a flagship for the new economy, will once again have a comprehensive knowledge programme that will address pioneering advances and new technologies applied to different sectors such as health, aviation, and talent, as well as sustainable initiative projects developed through the digital industry in areas such as mobility. Among the topics that will make up the programme are: the creation of medicines through 3D printing, robotic surgery, energy sustainability in data centres, bioeconomy, cyber resilience, challenges in the age of deepfakes, smart cities, intelligent mobility, women in space, eco-flights, Generation Z talent, and soft skills in the digital era, among others.
In the words of the Special State Delegate at the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB), Pere Navarro, “the essence of BNEW is precisely its ability to connect different sectors, which apparently have nothing to do with each other, such as aviation and health or mobility and talent, in order to learn about the trends in each vertical; but above all, to spark debate, establish relationships, and generate synergies, with the aim that organisations and companies from different fields collaborate to contribute to the development of the new economy.”
In its sixth edition, BNEW expects to bring together around 320 top-level national and international speakers, providing 100 hours of content distributed across 66 panels, debates, and sessions. Once again, the event opts to maintain its hybrid format, with all content streamed – allowing it to be followed from different countries anywhere in the world – and making available to registered users a digital platform that will enable them to network, exchange messages and contacts, and schedule meetings with other participants.
“This formula makes it possible to reach professionals from different economic sectors, various industries, small and medium-sized enterprises, large corporations, public administrations and institutions, and start-ups, who will all take an active part in the content programme. This makes BNEW a disruptive and innovative event that champions the possibilities, new approaches, and economic paradigm shift offered by new technologies,” says CZFB’s CEO Blanca Sorigué.
The only vertical that will be held entirely in person will be BNEW Experience, which aims to give event attendees the chance to discover Barcelona’s leisure, cultural, and gastronomic offerings, as well as to network. All this will take place, once again, in the city of Barcelona, specifically at DFactory Barcelona, the internationally recognised industry 4.0 ecosystem driven by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona.
The registration form to access the event platform is now available on the event website: www.bnewbarcelona.com.
