Barcelona, March 27, 2026.- The Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB) and EconomistesBAN, the private investors’ network of the College of Economists of Catalonia, have signed a collaboration agreement with the aim of fostering and promoting innovative, distinctive, and high–value‑added projects, as well as facilitating access to funding and specialized knowledge for business initiatives with growth potential.
The Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona actively promotes entrepreneurship through incubation programs in the logistics 4.0 and 3D printing sectors, as well as through strategic alliances with key ecosystem stakeholders. Its activity focuses on areas such as industry 4.0, the new economy, logistics, and sustainable innovation, with the objective of driving the transformation of the productive fabric and generating high‑impact economic opportunities in the territory.
The College of Economists of Catalonia, through its private investors’ network EconomistesBAN, aims to boost the financing and growth of business projects by connecting private investors with high‑potential entrepreneurial initiatives. With a well‑established track record, the network promotes a professionalized investment environment based on rigorous analysis, strategic guidance, and specialized support for the projects it backs.
The Director General of the CZFB, Blanca Sorigué, stated that “this agreement strengthens the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona’s commitment to promoting entrepreneurship and generating opportunities in strategic sectors such as industry 4.0 and the new economy. Collaboration with EconomistesBAN is a decisive step in supporting initiatives with real growth potential. We are convinced that this alliance will have a positive impact on the economic development of the territory.”
Meanwhile, the President of EconomistesBAN, Pol Font, emphasized that “this agreement reinforces our commitment to providing criteria, rigor, and support to entrepreneurial projects with potential. Through EconomistesBAN, we aim to connect talent and innovation with private investors; this agreement will make it possible to accelerate initiatives with added value and a real impact on the productive economy.”
The signing of this agreement represents a concrete step in building a stronger entrepreneurial ecosystem in Catalonia. The Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona and the College of Economists of Catalonia are combining capabilities to support entrepreneurs at the most critical moment: the initial stages, when risk is higher, financing is scarcer, and professional guidance is most decisive. It is precisely in this area that EconomistesBAN focuses its activity, connecting early‑stage projects with investors and professionals capable of assessing their potential and contributing to their growth. The shared goal is for more solidly‑based projects to overcome the initial stages and become companies that generate talent, employment, and value for the territory.
