CZFB renews its commitment to the Diversity Charter to continue promoting its principles

Barcelona, 21 October 2025. – The Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB) has renewed its commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace by joining the Diversity Charter promoted by Fundación Diversidad, Europe’s largest business movement in favour of diversity and inclusion in work environments.
The Diversity Charter is a manifesto that promotes 10 European principles reflecting the commitment of companies and institutions to equal opportunities in the workplace. Whether in terms of gender, age, disability, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, or any other individual, social, or cultural condition, the organizations that sign this movement recognize and value diversity as a key asset for business success and sustainability.
The Spanish Government’s Special Delegate at the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona, Pere Navarro, stated: “At CZFB, we firmly believe that diversity and inclusion are fundamental pillars for building fairer, more innovative, and more sustainable workplaces. Our adherence to the Diversity Charter, promoted by Fundación Diversidad, reaffirms CZFB’s commitment to continue working to ensure that all people regardless of their origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, abilities, or beliefs have the same opportunities for professional and personal development within our organisation.”
For her part, Blanca Sorigué, General Manager of CZFB, said: “At CZFB, we understand that diversity not only enriches our teams but also enhances creativity, improves decision-making, and strengthens our competitiveness as a public institution committed to economic and social progress. We will continue promoting active policies that foster equality, respect, and fairness, while collaborating with other entities that share this vision to advance towards a more inclusive society.”
The ten principles of the Diversity Charter:
- Raise awareness of equality and respect for diversity as company values.
- Advance workforce diversity by integrating diverse profiles.
- Promote inclusion and avoid any form of discrimination at work.
- Consider diversity in all people management policies.
- Promote work-life balance and shared responsibility in working hours.
- Recognize customer diversity as a source of innovation.
- Communicate the company’s commitment to diversity to all staff.
- Extend this commitment to supplier companies.
- Share the commitment with third-party entities.
- Disseminate diversity and inclusion policies and the results achieved.
Fundación Diversidad promotes the Diversity Charter in Spain with the support of the European Commission and the national Charters of each EU member state, thereby fostering the adoption of inclusive practices in the workplace. More than 1,600 organisations have signed this commitment in Spain and 16,000 across the European Union.
