Extremadura will be the guest region at SIL 2022

- The region will showcase its logistics potential at the 22nd edition of the leading trade fair for Logistics, Transport, Intralogistics and Supply Chain in Southern Europe.
- Guillermo Fernández Vara, president of the Regional Government of Extremadura, and Pere Navarro, special delegate of the State in the CZFB and president of SIL, have been in charge of signing the collaboration agreement.
Barcelona, April 5th, 2022 –The International Logistics Exhibition of Barcelona (SIL), organized by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB), which will take place from May 31 to June 2, will have Extremadura as the guest region in its 22nd edition, which returns with a renewed image after two years of absence due to the pandemic. With this agreement, the region will have the opportunity to present its industry and logistics initiatives at the leading trade fair for Logistics, Transport, Intralogistics and Supply Chain in Southern Europe.
The signing ceremony of the agreement, which has taken place at the headquarters of the Regional Government of Extremadura, has been chaired by Guillermo Fernández Vara, president of the Regional Government of Extremadura, and Pere Navarro, special delegate of the State in the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona and president of SIL. Blanca Sorigué, CEO of CZFB and SIL, and Rafael España, Minister of Economy, Science and Digital Agenda of the Regional Government of Extremadura, have also been present.
Rafael España has highlighted how “the choice of Extremadura as the guest region at the International Logistics Exhibition (SIL) in Barcelona has been motivated, among other aspects, by the logistics strategy with which the region has equipped itself and by the latest news that highlight all the actions developed in this area.”.
From his side, Pere Navarro states that “Extremadura is a region with great interest and logistics capacity, and we are proud that they want to be present at the 22nd edition of SIL to highlight their role to the main players in the sector in Spain, but also internationally”.
