Barcelona, 22 May 2025 – SIL 2025, the international benchmark fair in the fields of logistics, transport, intralogistics and the Supply Chain, which will be held from 18 to 20 June in Barcelona, will once again feature a comprehensive knowledge programme. This year, under the title “Innovation and talent for a sustainable future”, SIL Knowledge will host more than 350 top-level speakers who, over the three days, will share their knowledge and experience to contribute to the exchange of knowledge, in more than 70 debates where innovation and talent will play a fundamental role.

Thus, knowledge will once again be one of the mainstays of the event, bringing to the fore the debate on the trends and challenges facing the logistics sector. Among the topics to be addressed this year are: technological innovations and industry 4.0 in the logistics sector, socio-political strategies and their impact on supply chains, new business models in foreign trade, sustainability and decarbonisation, logistics ethics and regulations, drones in logistics, real estate logistics and smart buildings, cargo challenges, urban logistics and the last mile, as well as gender equality and visibility of the role of women in the sector.

All of this will be led by senior executives and logistics managers, representatives from major companies such as PC Componentes, Silbon, Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, Amazon, Dr. Oetker Ibérica, Nestlé Purina, Clecat, Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial, SEAT, Synthesia Technology Europe, among many others.

In the words of Pere Navarro, special delegate of the State at the CZFB, “the knowledge programme is one of the keys to the success of SIL. We are proud to have expert voices to address challenges such as talent and innovation in the logistics sector. It is worth highlighting the support and collaboration of the countless entities and sectoral associations that contribute to this success.”

Sector associations, key allies

Distributed across three areas A, B, C, SIL Knowledge will also feature sectoral conferences such as Quo Vadis Multimodal Terminals by Cimalsa, the technical day by UNO on the most profitable technologies in logistics and transport, or the Ferrmed conference where the international alliance for the pilot test of the +FIRRST system will be presented. In addition, SIL Knowledge will feature the participation of ACE, AECOC, ALDEFE, ANFAC, BCL, Catalonia Logistics, CEL, CITET, Enginyers Industrials de Catalunya, FEM-AEM, Feteia-Oltra, ICIL, Spanish Shippers’ Council SSC – Transprime, TuComex or ZLC, among other prominent sectoral associations, and will be sponsored this edition by: Cimalsa, Orange, aTurnos, Engie Vianeo, Exotec by Dexter, Prologis and TGW Logistics.

As a novelty, this year within the framework of SIL, the International Congress of the Council of Customs Agents and Customs Representatives “International Customs Collaboration in the Digital Age” will be held. This event will bring together international leaders to discuss how digitalisation, artificial intelligence and blockchain are transforming customs processes and global trade. It positions itself as a key meeting point between administrations, the private sector, and international organisations within the framework of SIL.

Innovation and equality

Finally, the SIL Knowledge 2025 programme will once again feature another knowledge area inaugurated in the previous edition and located at the stand of the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona, which will host sessions on two strategic themes for the entity: innovation and equality. In Tech by SIL, on Wednesday 18 June, sessions will be held on green logistics, digital tools, and Industry 4.0, highlighting the presentation of District 4.0, promoted by the CZFB.

Meanwhile, BWAW by SIL will host panels on Thursday 19 and Friday 20 June, on: technology and diversity, a sustainable future, sector challenges with a gender perspective, geopolitics, success networks, and awakening vocations.

Blanca Sorigué, general director of the CZFB, points out that “innovation and talent, also the challenges for the logistics sector. At CZFB, we want to contribute to this by sharing success stories and innovative projects, as well as creating role models that inspire young people through Tech and BWAW by SIL”.
