Barcelona, March 2, 2026.- The Logistics 4.0 Incubator, Spain’s first incubator specialized in Industry 4.0 applied to the logistics sector and promoted by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB), is present this week at a new edition of 4 Years From Now (4YFN), the startup hub of the Mobile World Congress Barcelona (MWC). Several of the startups hosted in the incubator are taking advantage of the event to showcase their most disruptive solutions to the world and to establish strategic connections with other innovative companies participating in the fair.
This morning, the CZFB’s Executive President, Pere Navarro, and its General Manager, Blanca Sorigué, met at the Logistics 4.0 Incubator stand at 4YFN with some of the startups participating in this incubation program. The gathering also provided an opportunity to review the results achieved during the first two and a half years of activity. Over this period, a total of 60 projects has been incubated, of which 32 are currently active within the incubator. Of the remaining 28, 23 have consolidated themselves as success stories and 5 have ceased activity, resulting in a survival rate of 91.5%, a figure significantly higher than that of similar initiatives.
The 32 startups currently based in the Logistics 4.0 Incubator closed last year with a combined turnover of 8 million euros, and they expect to double this figure by the end of 2026, reaching nearly 16 million euros in revenue. Considering all the initiatives that have received support from the Logistics 4.0 Incubator, total revenue in 2025 would amount to 46 million euros, with forecasts for 2026 reaching approximately 70 million euros.
The 32 startups currently active in the CZFB’s Logistics 4.0 incubator employ a total of 228 people, 73.2% of whom are men, while 26.8% are women. In this regard, it is worth noting that only 8 of the 60 startups that have gone through the Logistics 4.0 Incubator have been founded by women, representing just 13.3% of the total.
Pere Navarro, Executive President of the CZFB, stated: “We are very pleased with the role that the Logistics 4.0 Incubator is playing as a driver of innovation in the logistics sector. In just two and a half years, we have supported dozens of startups that are now success stories and are transforming the supply chain with cutting‑edge technology. This ecosystem demonstrates that Barcelona is an international benchmark in Industry 4.0 and entrepreneurship. Our commitment is to continue fostering talent, generating economic impact, and building a more efficient, sustainable, and competitive logistics model.”
Blanca Sorigué, General Manager of the CZFB, stated: “The Logistics 4.0 Incubator is an example of how collaboration and innovation can transform a sector as strategic as logistics. At the CZFB, we work to ensure that every startup finds an environment that fosters growth, knowledge exchange, and the creation of solutions with real impact. We are excited to see how this ecosystem evolves and generates opportunities, attracting talent and new technological capabilities.”
Logistics 4.0 to boost the productive ecosystem
Since its launch in July 2023, with the support of the Incyde Foundation and European FEDER funds, the Logistics 4.0 Incubator has demonstrated a significant impact on the sector. The purpose of the incubator is to strengthen the productive ecosystem, increase economic impact, and develop greater capabilities within the logistics sector. It currently hosts 32 startups developing cutting‑edge technologies and offering innovative solutions, services, and products focused on the logistics value chain. The projects are centered on technologies such as robotics and automated warehouses, IoT systems, drones, last‑mile delivery, 3D printing, Artificial Intelligence, and green logistics.
