  • The multi-client and multi-product servicer, which was already the main sponsor in the first edition of the disruptive event created by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB), has thus reinforced its support and commitment to the new economy and the promotion of economic recovery..

  • Barcelona New Economy Week (BNEW) will connect 10 global events, including five new areas (Mobility, Sustainability, Talent, Science and City) as well as those already present in 2020 (Logistics, Digital Industry, Ecommerce, Economic Zones and Real Estate).

Barcelona, 8 June 2021. –  The Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB) has signed an agreement with Servihabitat for the second consecutive year, a multi-client and multi-product servicer of reference in the management of real estate and financial assets. Thus, the firm will once again be the main sponsor of the new edition of BNEW (Barcelona New Economy Week), to be held from October 5 to 8. This agreement is a further proof of the servicer’s commitment to this great global event focused on the new economy, which last year broke all records in its premiere with about 11,000 participants from more than one hundred countries around the world.

Iheb Nafaa, CEO of Servihabitat, and Pere Navarro, special delegate of the State in the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona and president of BNEW, were present at the signing ceremony, which took place today at the CZFB offices.

“Last year we made a risky move to launch a totally disruptive event and we were fortunate to have the support of such top-level partners as Servihabitat. We are very happy to repeat fellow travelers in this second edition of BNEW, which is supported by the spectacular figures for 2020 and which presents expanded content to promote the recovery of the economy”, assured Pere Navarro.

For his part, Iheb Nafaa stressed that “BNEW is an event that, arising from the 2020 situation, has been able to adapt to the environment, taking advantage of new opportunities and growing in an international dimension. At Servihabitat we fully share this spirit of improvement and, for this reason, we want to continue supporting an event capable of bringing together the main sectors of activity with an eye on the future”. In this sense, the CEO of Servihabitat added that “we have a firm commitment to innovation, talent and sustainability that make up part of the structural values that we promote within our area of activity in the management of financial and real estate assets”.

More content and new experiences

The second BNEW edition will feature ten topics that will address different sectors around the future challenges of the economy, with a very clear focus on innovation, talent and sustainability. Thus, apart from last year’s 5 subjects (Logistics, Digital Industry, Ecommerce, Economic Zones and Real Estate) this year BNEW will add five new areas of a more transversal nature: Mobility, Sustainability, Talent, Science and City. The event, of a professional nature and hybrid format, expects to have 70% digital participation in this second edition and plans to expand the face-to-face stages to include new emblematic spaces in the city of Barcelona.

BNEW 2021 will continue to seek internationalization as a key element, as well as to generate business deals through networking on the event’s powerful digital platform and through artificial intelligence. The organization hopes to go from the 128 companies present at the BVillage last year to 400 in this new edition, and to expand the number of speakers from 389 to 700. In addition, the improvement of the health context will allow adding new experiential elements, offering the possibility for companies to organize commercial and promotional activities on the terraces of the hotels in the center of Barcelona between 7pm and 10pm.
