- The Barcelona Woman Acceleration Week (BWAW) will bring together more than 70 speakers, leading voices from multiple sectors to debate, share solutions and activate real changes to accelerate gender equality.

Barcelona, February 23, 2026.- The sixth edition of the Barcelona Woman Acceleration Week (BWAW), organized by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB), will have more than 70 top-level speakers, from March 4 to 6 at DFactory Barcelona. The building that houses the industrial 4.0 ecosystem of reference at European level will once again be the scene of the event that will bring together leading voices from multiple sectors – men and women who are already transforming their organizations – to debate, share solutions and activate real changes to accelerate gender equality and promote female leadership.
The program will consist of a total of 15 sessions, including the opening act, in which the advances and challenges of equality, gender perspective and female leadership will be addressed on the basis of different topics: BUnion, BScience, BDigital, BSecurity, BGaming, BMedia, BMultilateral, BCorporate, BRealEstate, BTalent, BArchitecture, BHealth, BSpace, BFintech.
In the words of the executive president of the CZFB, Pere Navarro, “BWAW will once again become the meeting point where leaders from different economic areas will share their concerns and their proposals to achieve real gender equality in the business world, through tools and private initiatives such as equality plans, which are already being implemented by many companies, as well as public policies that ensure the labour rights of men and women”.
For her part, the CEO of the CZFB, Blanca Sorigué, highlights that “once again, we wanted the program to cover different sectors of activity, from health, talent, defense or communication, to the corporate world, architecture or finance, because we consider that gender equality must be a reality in all sectors and that for this it is necessary to enhance and make visible the female leadership in all areas”.
Topics highlighted in BWAW 2026
The contents of the sixth edition of BWAW will address key issues such as women’s labour rights; women’s leadership of innovation in science and health; digital law with a gender perspective in a world dominated by AI; the role of women in the defense and security of citizenship and public service; women’s talent in sectors such as video games, architecture or aerospace; the responsibility of the media, large corporations and public institutions for equality; and the female perspective in areas such as real estate, housing or finance.
As for the poster of speakers who have confirmed their participation in the event, profiles of the size of: Cristina Capdevila, manager of the Hospital Universitari de Bellvitge; Neus Tomàs, deputy director of eldiario.es; Marga Guitart, secretary of the board and director of Legal at ONU Mujeres España; Ferran Marsà, CEO of La Llave de Oro; Ana Palència, communication director of Unilever España; Joan Francesc Bañó, executive director of GameBCN; Judit Camargo, CEO of Roka Furadada; Joan Seoane, director of the Research program at Vall d’Hebron Institute of Oncology; Clàudia Mateo, director of Business and Space Innovation at i2CAT; Carlos Tusquets, president of Banco Mediolanum, and Marta Fresnedoso, first sergeant of the la Guardia Civil, among others.
