  • The company specializes in the industrial additive manufacturing of metal parts and reinforced polymer, offering design, engineering and production solutions using advanced 3D printing technologies.

  • In their new office they will produce all their solutions for the industrial sector, in addition to strengthening their brand and collaborating with the other companies that are also part of the industry 4.0 ecosystem promoted by the CZFB.

Barcelona, 16 December 2024.- The Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB) continues to expand the DFactory Barcelona ecosystem with the incorporation of the company ADDiVAL in its facilities. Today, Borja Batlle, Toni García and the Priu family, founders of ADDiVAL, and Pere Navarro, special delegate of the State at the CZFB, met to sign this agreement that marks the beginning of the company’s activity in the industry 4.0 ecosystem of international reference promoted by the CZFB.

Expert in high-quality metal and composite solutions

ADDiVAL is a company specialized in the industrial additive manufacture of metal parts and fiber-reinforced polymers. With almost 30 years of experience in the sector, the company offers design and production solutions using advanced 3D printing technologies, ensuring high quality and resistant products. Its approach ranges from identifying areas for improvement in the value chain to implementing innovative solutions that optimize processes and reduce development times.

At the welcome ceremony, Pere Navarro, special delegate of the State at the CZFB, stressed that “collaboration, dynamism and generation of knowledge are already intrinsic characteristics of DFactory Barcelona. The incorporation of ADDiVAL, as an expert in 3D printing, will surely offer a new paradigm that will enrich the entire technological ecosystem. Throughout 2025, the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona will continue to promote synergies that allow us to develop key solutions for the advancement of industry 4.0”.

For his part, Borja Batlle, General Manager at ADDiVAL comments that at ADDiVAL we consider our incorporation into DFactory Barcelona as a strategic opportunity to continue advancing in the development of additive manufacturing in Spain. This space, with its ability to connect innovation, talent and industry 4.0 technology, offers us a privileged platform to connect with a dynamic and innovative ecosystem that drives the future of technological production.”

Batlle adds that “our commitment to innovation and industrial excellence has led us to bet on 3D printing not only as a creation tool, but as a pillar of a new way of producing. With an eye on serial manufacturing, we seek to consolidate a sustainable and competitive industrial model that adds value and sustainable solutions to industry 4.0. Being part of DFactory allows us to share this vision and collaborate with other key players to build together the solutions that will define the industry for decades to come.”

ADDiVAL works by using three advanced technologies, such as Metal Powder Bed Fusion (MPBF), which uses a multiple laser system to melt and fuse metal powder particles layer by layer, achieving complex and high-precision metal components, with surfaces of up to 60 HRC hardness; Metal Fused Filament Fabrication (MFFF) for functional metal parts; and Continuous Fiber Reinforcement Polymer (CFF), which reinforces polymers with carbon, Kevlar, or glass fibers to produce lightweight, high-strength parts ideal for critical structural applications. Hoping to incorporate new technologies and high-productivity equipment in the future to offer its customers as an alternative to current mass production.

Its technologies provide ready-to-use components, with high precision, resistance and durability, industrial products for metal forming, injection molding, welding and automated production lines, among many other solutions on the market. Its benefits include a significant reduction in development and production times for final part processes; agility and flexibility during the design process and in manufacturing; and the development of new products and lines of business.

ADDiVAL will now have a space in the industry 4.0 ecosystem at DFactory Barcelona, to collaborate with an ecosystem of high-tech companies and advanced laboratories, as well as facilitate joint innovation and the development of new projects in the digital manufacturing sector.

Currently, the technological ecosystem has facilities of 17.000m2 on four floors, where 35 companies have already been installed, which represents 85% occupancy. In addition, the second phase of the emblematic building is already being projected, a boost that will allow it to reach nearly 100.000m2 in the coming years.
