BBVA bets on BNEW and debuts as BEARTH sponsor of the Mobility vertical

• BBVA joins the list of companies and entities that support the fourth edition of the disruptive event created by the Barcelona Free Trade Zone Consortium (CZFB), showing its support and commitment to the new economy and the promotion of economic recovery.

• Francisco Pla, regional director of BBVA in Catalonia, Pere Navarro, special state delegate of the CZFB, and Blanca Sorigué, general director of the CZFB, signed the agreement this morning.

• Barcelona New Economy Week (BNEW) will connect 7 global events, which will address seven different verticals (Proptech, Health, Digital Industry, Talent, Sustainability, Mobility and Experience) in one of the most unique buildings in the city, the DFactory Barcelona.

Barcelona, September 7th, 2023. – The Barcelona Free Trade Zone Consortium (CZFB) has signed an agreement with BBVA through which the bank will be a BEARTH sponsor of the Mobility vertical of the new edition of BNEW (Barcelona New Economy Week), which will be held from October 2nd to 5th. This agreement represents BBVA’s commitment to this great global event aimed at the new economy, which last year broke all records at its premiere at DFactory Barcelona with more than 12.000 participants from more than one hundred countries around the world.

Present at the signing ceremony, which took place today at the DFactory Barcelona facilities, were Francisco Pla, regional director of BBVA in Catalonia; Pere Navarro, Special State Delegate of the CZFB; and Blanca Sorigué, general director of CZFB and BNEW.

Francisco Pla, regional director of BBVA in Catalonia, has highlighted “BBVA’s firm intention to accompany society and clients in this necessary digital and sustainable transformation, making it easier for them to achieve their vital and business objectives with innovation and sustainability as engines of growth.”

 For his part, Pere Navarro, special state delegate to the CZFB, thanked BBVA for its commitment to BNEW, “a totally innovative and disruptive event that in just four editions has become the great event for the promotion of the new economy, with the presence of the main sectors of activity, committed to the 2030 Agenda, and focused on the opportunities that new technologies offer.”

Finally, Blanca Sorigué, general director of the CZFB, has assured that “in a world in constant evolution and movement, the BNEW has established itself as a beacon of knowledge, connecting brilliant minds and catalyzing solutions that will redefine socioeconomic paradigms.  The fourth edition of BNEW will have three sets and seven transcendental sectors for the new economy -two for each set- some of which have already been represented since the start of the event in 2020. More specifically, the seven themes of 2023 will be: Proptech, Health, Digital Industry, Talent, Sustainability, Mobility and Experience. This format allows professionals from different economic sectors, industries, small and medium-sized companies, large corporations, administrations and institutions and startups to be reached at the same time.
