BWAW 2025 prepares to celebrate its 5th edition

- The Barcelona Woman Acceleration Week will hold its inaugural event tomorrow with the participation of the Undersecretary of the Treasury of the Ministry of Finance and Public Function, Lidia Sánchez; the President of the Barcelona Provincial Council, Lluïsa Moret; the Deputy Mayor of the Barcelona City Council, Mª Eugènia Gay; the Secretary General of Equality and Feminism of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Sonia Guerra; the President of the Chambers of Commerce of Spain and the Incyde Foundation, José Luis Bonet; the special State delegate in the CZFB, Pere Navarro; and the General Director of the CZFB, Blanca Sorigué.
- The Barcelona Woman Acceleration Week (BWAW) reaches its 5th edition, establishing itself as the benchmark event for advancing gender equality in the business field, which will bring together, from March 4 to 6, 71 high-level speakers in 15 debate sessions.
Barcelona, March 3, 2025.- DFactory Barcelona will be, tomorrow at 10 am, the venue for the official inauguration of the 5th edition of the Barcelona Woman Acceleration Week (BWAW), the benchmark event for advancing gender equality in the industrial and business fields, driven by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB) along with the collaboration of the Incyde Foundation of the Chambers of Commerce of Spain and RTVE Play.
The inaugural event will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, March 4, at 10am in the auditorium of DFactory Barcelona and will feature the participation of the Undersecretary of the Treasury of the Ministry of Finance and Public Function, Lidia Sánchez; the President of the Barcelona Provincial Council, Lluïsa Moret; the Deputy Mayor of the Barcelona City Council, Mª Eugenia Gay; the Secretary General of Equality and Feminism of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Sonia Guerra; the President of the Chambers of Commerce of Spain and the Incyde Foundation, José Luis Bonet; the special State delegate in the CZFB, Pere Navarro; and the General Director of the CZFB, Blanca Sorigué.
Between March 4 and 6, coinciding with International Women’s Day week (8M), this gender-balanced debate will bring together 71 high-level speakers, both international and national, across 15 debate sessions to propose solutions that enable progress in terms of parity, equal opportunities, and the promotion of women in areas such as education, culture, technology, law, science, the public sector, or large corporations, among others.
Some of the distinguished professionals from institutions, public entities, and private companies participating in the event include: Anna Viñas, Director of the Legal Department at Wallapop; Daniel I. Ripley, Managing Partner at Uría Menéndez; Judith Colell, President of the Acadèmia del Cinema Català; Ángels Fitó, Rector of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC); Luisa Alli, Secretary General of the Hermes Foundation; Ramon Agenjo, patron and director of Fundació Damm; Sandra Hors, Director of Corporate Affairs, Brand and Sustainability at Vueling; Marta Farrés, Mayor of Sabadell City Council, and Carles Ruiz, President of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya.
