Barcelona, 10 September 2026. The Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB) and Fundació Pimec have signed a collaboration agreement to promote senior talent and support entrepreneurship, employability, and second-career opportunities for professionals with extensive business experience. The agreement was signed this morning at DFactory Barcelona by Blanca Sorigué, General Director of the CZFB, and Josep González, President of Fundació Pimec.

Through this agreement, the CZFB will collaborate with the Talent Sènior program and strengthen its existing support for the Emppersona-Segona Oportunitat program, two flagship initiatives of Fundació Pimec aimed at assisting entrepreneurs, self-employed professionals, and business leaders who are undergoing business reinvention processes or facing challenges in re-entering the labour market. The Emppersona-Segona Oportunitat program provides personalised guidance to help entrepreneurs and self-employed professionals relaunch their businesses, develop new projects, or identify new professional opportunities. Participants also benefit from the support of a network of volunteer business leaders who act as mentors throughout the process.

For its part, Talent Sènior works to highlight the experience and expertise of professionals over the age of 50, promoting their integration into the labour market while raising awareness among companies of the importance of leveraging their talent as a driver of competitiveness, innovation, and intergenerational cohesion.

CZFB General Director, Blanca Sorigué, highlighted that “the economic and technological transformation we are currently experiencing requires us to make the most of all available talent. Senior professionals bring experience, expertise, and adaptability, which are essential assets for addressing the challenges of the new economy. This agreement represents a clear statement of intent and a further step in strengthening our commitment to a more inclusive, diverse, and sustainable industry and labour market.”

For his part, Fundació Pimec President Josep González welcomed the collaboration and stated that “our ability to support business owners, self-employed professionals, entrepreneurs, and small companies does not depend solely on our own resources, but also on the trust placed in us by institutions such as the CZFB.”

The collaboration will also support the development of awareness-raising initiatives, informational events, and forums for discussion focused on senior talent, while helping to highlight the importance of fostering more inclusive businesses and labour markets that can fully benefit from the accumulated knowledge and expertise of experienced professionals.

Through this agreement, the CZFB reaffirms its commitment to talent development as a key driver of industrial and economic transformation, promoting initiatives that enhance employability, equal opportunities, and value creation for businesses and society as a whole.
