Barcelona, February 14th, 2022.- DFactory Barcelona, the Industry 4.0 node led by the Consortium of the Free Zone of Barcelona, continues its commitment to cutting-edge technology in its laboratories with the incorporation of PICVISA and Alisys to the 4.0 ecosystem.
PICVISA (Calaf Group), a leading company in vision and artificial intelligence technology for the separation and recovery of residues, installs its business development center in DFactory as part of its growth plan. Its incorporation to this innovation hub will allow it to benefit from the synergies with the companies present in this technological ecosystem, sharing knowledge and addressing new technological challenges in its field of action.
Joan Manel Casamitjana, CEO of PICVISA, highlights that “we are a benchmark company in technological innovation for the recycling and recovery of residues, so it’s very important for us to be present in a technological ecosystem such as DFactory with leading companies that allow us to establish partnerships and cross-cutting projects to move towards the circular economy”.
For its part, Alisys, a benchmark company in software solutions for dynamic, social and service robotics, is the first dynamic robotics equipment that DFactory incorporates in its laboratories. With this arrival, the company will offer companies in the ecosystem exclusive access to its Spot Enterprise robot, from Boston Dynamics, through the shared access labs. In addition, Alisys will have its own space at DFactory Barcelona, and will have access to the initiative’s resources for the development of its projects in the field of cloud solutions, artificial intelligence, blockchain and robotics.
“The innovation ecosystem that is being created in DFactory is ideal so that companies like Alisys, and many others, are able to collaborate to design technological solutions that right now we can only imagine and that will undoubtedly provide value to society once applied.”, has expressed Jorgina Díaz Torres, Director of Robotics Business Development at Alisys.
The special delegate of the State to CZFB and president of DFactory Barcelona, Pere Navarro, has celebrated the arrival of both companies in the DFactory Barcelona ecosystem, since “they share the vision of the project, and help us to continue to promote the development of Industry 4.0 and also promote the attraction of talent, technology and investment in a shared space and always at the forefront of technology”.
