More than 400 speakers will take part in SIL Knowledge 2023

Barcelona, 18 May 2023. –SIL 2023, the Leading Exhibition for Logistics, Transport, Intralogistics and Supply Chain in Southern Europe, will be held from 7 to 9 June in Barcelona. More than 400 speakers have already confirmed their participation in the SIL Knowledge programme with two weeks to go before it is held. The programme is comprised of more than 144 presentations that will bring to the table the latest developments, concerns and present and future challenges of the sector.
More specifically, the sessions are structured in 6 different axes of knowledge –Supply Chain, Innovation, Technology and Digitalisation, Sustainability, Logistics and Transport, E-commerce, Last Mile and Smart Mobility and Talent– and will address aspects such as the strategy of Intermodal Terminals, the evolution of Customs and trade in the digital era, the future of air cargo, immologistics from the user’s perspective, the challenge of Low Emission Zones or the effect of Fit for 55 Measures on transport, among others.
As for the speakers, among them there are representatives of important companies and entities in the sector, such as: Beatriz Alvarez, Supply Chain Director at Unilever; Carlos Castán, External Logistics Global Support Manager at Celsa Group; Thierry Delmas, Managing Director at Kivnon; Alberto López, person in charge of the Go To Market Strategy at Bimbo Donuts Iberia; Jorge Luna, Market Product Manager at Sick España; Enric Martí, Logistics Director at SEAT; Rubén Gómez Núñez, Commercial Director Spain at Bosch Service Solutions; Carme Javierre, Corporate Logistics Director at Simon; Francisco Aranda, President of UNO; Xavier Rius, General Director of ICIL; Susana Val, Director of ZLC; José del Moral, Chief Executive Officer at BCN Talent Logistics; Jordi Espín, Secretary General of Transprime; Bárbara Ferrer, Sustainable Logistics and Lean & Green Manager at AECOC; Ramón García, General Director of CEL; or Nuria Lacaci, Secretary General of the Asociación de Cargadores, among others.
The special delegate of the State in the CZFB and president of SIL, Pere Navarro, said that “it is an honour that such important speakers who are the heads of leading companies in the sector coincide in this leading event in southern Europe, which is SIL, and can analyse in situ the challenges they face, as well as present their innovations”.
Blanca Sorigué, General Director of the CZFB and SIL, points out that “this edition of SIL is doubly special, given that in addition to celebrating its 25th anniversary, this year the event will present many technological innovations in artificial intelligence and robotics that will revolutionise the sector”.
First offers published on the Job Market Place
In addition, the Job Market Place, which Barcelona Activa is organising in collaboration with SIL, two weeks ahead of the event, has several companies registered with the intention of filling various job vacancies, including Alquimia Fruits, Cargobici, Cargo-Partner, Decathlon, DHL Supply Chain, Grupo CTC, Mail Boses, Torredella Ingeniería-Arquitectura and Vanapedal. This is a space for recruitment and networking where companies can find candidates in line with their needs. Barcelona Activa will publish the job offers and pre-select the candidates that fit the job description.

Access available to the SIL Platform
Visitors and exhibitors at the event can now access the Web App SIL Platform, which offers the possibility of networking by sending messages between attendees. In addition, the platform allows you to request meetings with companies and browse all the event’s options. Access is available from any device via the SIL website, using the passwords provided by the Consorci.
