  • The International Logistics Show, born in 1998 as a symposium, has established itself as one of the world’s largest meetings of Logistics, Transport, Intralogistics and Supply Chain.

  • On the occasion of its 25th anniversary it will be held over 4 days instead of the usual 3 days of its last editions.

Barcelona, July 12, 2022 – The International Logistics Exhibition of Barcelona (Salón Internacional de la Logística – SIL), organized by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB), will celebrate its 25th anniversary from June 6 to 9, 2023. SIL, which was born in 1998 as a symposium held at the Casa Llotja de Mar in Barcelona and lead out the following year to the first logistics fair held in our country, has managed to position itself as one of the world’s largest Logistics, Transport, Intralogistics and Supply Chain fairs, and as the sector’s benchmark in Spain, the Mediterranean and Latin America.

Pere Navarro, special delegate of the State in the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona, has emphasized that “we are proud to reach 25 years since the show’s inception in a good position. In recent years the sector has demonstrated its key role in the proper functioning of the economy and in this year’s edition we have highlighted the significant growth potential of the sector.”.

The last edition of SIL, held from May 31 to June 2, attracted 12,152 attendees from 81 countries. It was also a great opportunity for business creation with a Networking Circle divided into the Logistics Circle, Retail Circle and Start-ups Circle, which generated more than 6,620 contacts.

Blanca Sorigué, CZFB and SIL general manager, emphasizes that “the fair has been very well received since its inception. The sector values the work we do to organize this annual meeting, which for many has become a unique annual opportunity to publicize and grow their business”.”The sector and the economy have undergone a great transformation over the years and SIL is characterized by innovation, seeking to evolve together with the different logistics agents”, adds Sorigué.

Since 1998, the CZFB has continuously held different events with the aim of promoting, growing and evolving the logistics sector. In fact, in 2020 and 2021, given the impossibility of holding face-to-face events due to the pandemic, the CZFB made room for logistics with its own vertical at Barcelona New Economy Week (BNEW), an event that this year will reach its third edition from October 3 to 6.
