Barcelona, June 4, 2026. – The SIL 2026 Logistics Night, the major networking event of the 28th edition of the International Logistics Exhibition (SIL), brought together last night more than 500 presidents, CEOs and leading professionals from the main companies and institutions in the logistics sector. The event was presided over by the Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility of the Government of Spain, Óscar Puente.
The garden of the Torre Melina Hotel in Barcelona hosted this gala dinner, which each year gathers the top figures from the logistics and international trade sectors. In addition to Óscar Puente, the SIL 2026 Logistics Night was attended by a strong institutional representation, including the Executive President of the CZFB and President of SIL, Pere Navarro, the Government of the Generalitat’s territorial delegate in Barcelona, Pilar Díaz, and the General Director of the CZFB and SIL, Blanca Sorigué, among others.
In his speech, Spain’s Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Óscar Puente, highlighted the advanced stage of the Atlantic and Mediterranean corridors, key infrastructures for Spanish logistics, in which contracts worth more than €18.5 billion have been tendered since 2018. “While the Atlantic corridor has multiplied the pace of tenders in recent years, providing a decisive boost to strategic nodes such as the Basque Y, the Mediterranean corridor has gone in 7 years from having 45% of its route under construction or completed to 83%—that is, from 440 kilometres to 870”, Puente explained.
For his part, the executive president of the CZFB and president of SIL, Pere Navarro, stated that “logistics moves the world in an intelligent way. And we can see it these days at SIL, where the sector demonstrates its ability to innovate, generate business, incorporate technology and anticipate the major changes in the economy. The Nit de la Logística is the moment to celebrate this collective strength: companies, professionals, institutions and talent that connect territories, opportunities and the future”. The executive president of the CZFB and president of SIL also stated that “from Barcelona we want to continue promoting a more innovative, more efficient and more international logistics sector, because logistics is today one of the great forces of transformation of our time”.
Finally, Blanca Sorigué, Director General of CZFB and SIL, emphasized that “the Logistics Night represents much more than a sector meeting point; it is the celebration of a community that connects talent, innovation, and opportunities on a global scale”. The Director General of CZFB and SIL also stressed that “SIL 2026 is once again positioning Barcelona at the center of international logistics during these days. We are seeing smart solutions, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, sustainability, knowledge, and a great deal of valuable networking—essential elements for continuing to move forward together”.
