Barcelona, 19 de DeCember de 2025 – The Consorci de la Zona franca de Barcelona and Onda Cero held the 2025 “Ciutat Solidària” awards ceremony at the Palau de la Música this afternoon, in support of NGOs and non‑profit social organizations working in the fields of solidarity, social and labor inclusion, elder care, and assistance for the most vulnerable groups.

The first award went to En bici sense edat, which since 2016 has promoted active ageing and respectful treatment of older people and those with mobility issues. In addition to combating unwanted loneliness, one of the organization’s main activities is organizing rides using electric tricycles driven by volunteers. For its work in this area, it received a 6,000‑euro grant and a publicity campaign of 120 radio spots on Onda Cero. The organization was also presented with the lithograph Suite Equus by artist Margarita Gil Granero.

An honourable mention was also awarded to Després del suïcidi. Founded in 2012, this organization aims to create a space for support and accompaniment in grief for people bereaved by suicide. It also seeks to break the silence surrounding the issue, improve prevention systems, and encourage greater involvement from public administrations. For this work, it received a publicity campaign of 120 radio spots on Onda Cero Catalunya, as well as the lithograph Untitled Engraving by artist Josep Maria Guinovart.

A second honourable mention was given to T’acompanyem, an association created in 2009 as a solidarity‑driven response to the economic crisis. The organization offers workshops, courses, and training to unemployed individuals to support their entry into the job market. This work was also recognized with a publicity campaign of 120 radio spots on Onda Cero Catalunya and the lithograph Untitled Engraving by Josep Maria Guinovart.

The event featured the participation of Pere Navarro, the State Delegate to the Consorci de la Zona franca de Barcelona; Blanca Sorigué, the CZFB’s CEO; and Francesc Robert, Director of Atresmedia Radio in Catalonia.

Pere Navarro highlighted that “the Ciutat Solidària Awards are an essential recognition of the work carried out by social organizations that act with generosity and commitment, working for the common good to confront existing adversities and inequalities. The CZFB has supported these awards since 2012, with more than 550 initiatives identified that have provided real solutions for people at risk of exclusion. This partnership with Onda Cero reflects our commitment to social justice and equal opportunities. All participating organizations are protagonists of the change toward a fairer and more supportive society.

For her part, Blanca Sorigué emphasized that “these awards showcase the enormous talent and commitment of the social organizations in our community. Each project presented reflects the ability to transform realities and offer solutions to those who need them most. At the CZFB, we are proud to support these awards alongside Onda Cero for more than a decade, because we firmly believe in social justice and equal opportunities. The participating organizations are engines of change and examples of solidarity that inspire society as a whole.

Meanwhile, Francesc Robert, Director of Atresmedia Catalonia, thanked the support of the Barcelona Free Trade Zone Consortium and highlighted the work that Atresmedia and Onda Cero carry out in the field of corporate responsibility: “Once again, for the thirteenth year, we have demonstrated the commitment and transformative power of shared solidarity. At Atresmedia, we understand corporate responsibility not as an obligation, but as a way of being in the world: listening, contributing, and driving initiatives that generate real impact in our society.” In his speech, Francesc Robert stressed that the Ciutat Solidària Recognition is an example of how “when we give visibility to organizations that work for people, we multiply their reach and strengthen the social fabric.” He also thanked the Barcelona Free Trade Zone Consortium for “sharing this vision and walking together in this project.”
