The Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona joins the Alliance for Dual Vocational Training

• The special delegate of the State of the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona, Pere Navarro, the entity’s CEO, Blanca Sorigué, and the vice president of the Bertelsmann Foundation, Francisco Belil, have signed the adhesion document this morning.
• The CZFB has thus reinforced its commitment to promoting young talent to respond to the demand for new professional profiles.

 Barcelona, 26 April 2021 – The Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB) has formalized this morning its adhesion to the Alliance for Dual Vocational Training, promoted by the Bertelsmann Foundation. The entity has, therefor, reinforced its commitment to promoting young talent through dual quality professional training. In this sense, the CZFB will be in charge of promoting this modality among the companies in its environment as a way of responding to the needs of new professional profiles.

The signing ceremony, which has taken place at the CZFB offices, was attended by Pere Navarro, special delegate of the State in the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona Blanca Sorigué, CEO of the entity, and Francisco Belil, vice president of the Bertelsmann Foundation.

Pere Navarro pointed out the CZFB’s commitment to quality professional training as a way of “attracting young talent and responding to the new profiles that are emerging as a result of digitization and the advance of the new economy. This is a key moment to value Dual Vocational Training as a solid option for young people’s future. Moreover, it allows us to respond to the real needs of the productive fabric. For this reason, we are very proud to join the Alliance for Dual Vocational Training with the aim of working together to promote and develop this type of training. “

On the other hand, Francisco Belil, vice president of the Bertelsmann Foundation, presented the commemorative plaque to the special delegate of the CZFB and celebrated that “a public institution like this joins the Alliance and commits itself to promoting Dual Vocational Training among all the companies that make up part of its ecosystem. Public entities play an essential role in promoting the Dual FP model in Spain, since they act as a link between young people and companies “.
