The seventh edition of BNEW will feature more than 40 experiential activities

- BNEW Experience offers a comprehensive agenda of activities that will enrich the visitor experience and provide opportunities to connect through real networking in a different and relaxed environment.
- Attendees of this edition of BNEW will be able to take control in the cockpit of an F-18 fighter jet or watch a surgical robot operating live, among many other proposed activities.
- The programme will run in parallel with the content sessions and will connect the eight vertical sectors featured in this edition: Gaming, AI, Energy, Agrofood, Science, Aviation & Space, and Health.
Barcelona, July 21, 2026. – The seventh edition of Barcelona New Economy Week (BNEW) 2026, organized by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB), will take place from October 5 to 7 at DFactory Barcelona and will feature a comprehensive program of experiential activities designed to enhance the visitor experience, offering genuine networking opportunities in a different and relaxed environment. The programme will run alongside the content sessions hosted on the television sets and will connect the eight key sectors featured in this edition: Aviation & Space, Agrofood, Gaming, Talent, Science, Health, AI and Energy.
In this regard, BNEW Experience will feature more than 40 activities, enabling professionals attending the event in person to discover some of the latest innovations applied across the different sectors represented at the event. Highlights include exhibitions where visitors will be able to take the controls in the cockpit of an F-18 fighter aircraft, watch a surgical robot in operation, see how an autonomous quadruped surveillance robot works, and even take control of a humanoid robot or challenge another one to a game of tic-tac-toe.
The Executive President of the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB), Pere Navarro, highlights that “the seventh edition of BNEW will once again place the city of Barcelona in the spotlight as a global capital of the new economy, focusing the debate on the challenges, trends and innovations shaping different sectors. But we will not only talk about the new economy; we will also be able to touch it and experience it first-hand through the BNEW Experience program.”
In the same vein, attendees at BNEW will have the opportunity to enjoy interactive driving simulator experiences and interactive photocalls, watch an autonomous robot prepare a personalized coffee, attend the launch of an autonomous vehicle, take part in the optimization of collaborative robotic processes, and meet a robot capable of perceiving the world in a way similar to humans.
For her part, Blanca Sorigué, CEO of the CZFB, stated: “We want the professionals visiting DFactory Barcelona during the three days of BNEW to take away much more than ideas or conclusions. We want them to connect with the leaders transforming their companies, to be inspired by participating in the debates, and to enjoy unique networking opportunities with other professionals while experiencing the momentum of the new economy through all these activities.”
In addition, art and creativity will play a major role in the BNEW Experience agenda, with spaces dedicated to fashion, design, art, dance, and architecture, in the context of Barcelona’s designation as the UNESCO World Capital of Architecture 2026. The program will also feature immersive exhibitions, demonstrations of robot-assisted sculpture and furniture creation, 3D printing applied to ceramics, and cobot-assisted painting.
Finally, the program will be complemented by a wide range of experiences showcasing the richness of Barcelona’s gastronomy, culture, and leisure scene.

A Unique Format
It is worth noting that the event will maintain its hybrid format, with all content being streamed live through the digital platform. In addition, the BNEW Platform will enable registered users to network, exchange messages and contact details, schedule meetings with other participants, and access the BBot virtual assistant.
