Transforming cities: gender equality and sustainability, with Amaia Celaya

In this episode of SDG5, we talk to Amaia Celaya, an architect and urban planner committed to humanitarian action and international cooperation. Amaia, an advisor on humanitarian practices for the UN and the European Commission, shares her experience from architecture to urban resilience and the triple nexus between development, peace and humanitarian action. It highlights the need for more inclusive cities and the importance of changing the collective imagination to promote gender equality and sustainability. Her advice to women and girls is not to put limits on their dreams and to turn “no’s” into opportunities.
