The Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona mourns the death of Jordi Cornet

Barcelona, March 19, 2021.- The Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB) is deeply regretful of the death of Jordi Cornet, special delegate of the State in this body between January 2012 and June 2018, and who died today, Friday March 19 in Barcelona.
During the period as head of the CZFB, Jordi Cornet led projects as important for Barcelona’s economy and its surrounding area as the launching of the eDelivery show, focused on last-mile logistics, and the promotion of the 3D Factory Incubator, which has established itself nowadays as the first European high-tech incubator in 3D printing. The current special delegate of the State in the CZFB, Pere Navarro, who took the position after Cornet, has highlighted the trajectory of his predecessor and his contribution to the transformation of the Consorci de la Zona Franca and the city of Barcelona. “Jordi Cornet has left us an important legacy, marked by a clear vision of the future and a commitment to innovative projects, and for this we are deeply grateful and inspired by his work.”
