The l’Energia de Catalunya Cluster and the Barcelona-Catalunya Center Logistic sign a collaboration agreement

The Cluster of l’Energia de Catalunya (CEEC) and Eficient Barcelona-Catalunya Center Logistic (BCL) have signed a cooperation agreement to exchange knowledge in their respective areas and to streamline the organisation of joint activities.

The agreement, signed by the chairman of BCL, Pere Navarro; the president of the CEEC, Xavier Farriols, anticipates that the organisations will work together to develop studies, activities and specific training to promote knowledge of efficient energy management in the field of logistics and transport.

The Convention commits both organisations to open their activities to the partners of the other association, to actively participate in congresses, training projects, and others that are of common interest and specifies that the CEEC will become a member of the Commission on Sustainable Logistics of BCL.pe

Among the points included in this collaboration agreement are the organisation of seminars, workshops and training activities designed to facilitate the implementation of energy-efficient solutions in the logistics sector. As a result, the agreement also provides for the development of pilot energy innovation projects applied to logistics and the development of guidelines and best practices.

BCL works to boost competitiveness and the promotion of Catalonia as a Euro-Mediterranean logistics platform. It is made up of major private and public companies in the logistics sector and by professional associations, entities devoted to training and innovation, as well as other agencies and research institutions and industrial, economic and logistical support. BCL, through its different committees, is a forum for analysis, debate and reflection of among professionals on the present and future of the logistics sector in Catalonia.

CEEC is an entity that, through collaboration between associated companies and entities from areas such as technology, research, institutional, regulatory, industrial, informative, and business, intends to promote energy efficiency. The CEEC is a business association of non-profit organisations of organisations that offer, support or develop products or services related to energy efficiency in the fields of buildings, mobility, public services, industry and training.
