The Logistics Incubator 4.0 of the Zona Franca de Barcelona incorporates four new projects

- Grasshopper Air Mobility, Total Logistiks, ControlT and GRONE Global Logistics join the first high-tech incubator in Spain dedicated to industry 4.0 in the field of the logistics sector’s value chain.
- The Logistics 4.0 Incubator has already incubated a total of 46 startups in just over a year of activity, exceeding all initial expectations.
Barcelona, July 17, 2024. – The Logistics 4.0 Incubator, the first high-tech incubator in Spain dedicated to industry 4.0 in the field of the logistics sector value chain promoted by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB), has just incorporated three new projects. These are Grasshopper Air Mobility, Total Logistiks, Controlt and GRONE Global Logistics, four of the startups that participated in the SIL 2024 Startup Innovation Hub. These four projects have been selected by an expert jury from among the 80 startups participating in this call as the most innovative initiatives.
This morning the special delegate of the State in the CZFB, Pere Navarro, and the general director of the CZFB, Blanca Sorigué, welcomed the heads and founders of Grasshopper Air Mobility, Total Logistiks and GRONE Global Logistics to the Logistics 4.0 Incubator. During this event, Navarro recalled that “the Logistics 4.0 Incubator aims to provide services to the business, scientific and technological community of different sectors associated with the logistics value chain susceptible to industry 4.0, adding technological value to both products and processes”. Navarro added that “with the incorporation of these four new startups, we have already incubated 46 initiatives in one year and we have helped projects, which began as an idea but had difficulties in bringing them down to the ground and materializing them, are now a reality and have become companies with a spectacular future ahead of them”.
Grasshopper Air Mobility, drones for industrial logistics
Grasshopper Air Mobility develops eVTOL electric drones with autonomous driving and flight capabilities for industrial logistics. Its flagship drone transports loads of up to 350 kg over a distance of 200 km, integrating with Industry 4.0 logistics systems through autonomous loading and unloading. They focus on speeding up deliveries, improving sustainability and reducing costs in sectors such as manufacturing, cold chain logistics, remote area support and military operations. They connect ports, airports, train stations, warehouses, factories, industrial zones and remote areas, transforming modern logistics.
Total Logistik’s connected European freight network
Total Logistik wants to digitize the world of logistics and help create a better network. That’s why they connect Europe’s freight exchanges and TMS systems. The network created helps logistics companies to work even more efficiently, to organize cargo more quickly or to use their trucks better. The AI digital dispatcher also makes the job more predictable and simple, as the load can already be suggested as a return load. The time saved helps the shipper to work more relaxed and to concentrate on the main tasks smoothly and to concentrate even better.
ControlT, control tower software for transport
At ControlT they develop software solutions for processes associated with the transport of goods, so that their customers are more competitive. Its solutions are based on 3 pillars: integration of data sources (GPS, TMS, ERP, Apps, etc.); data-driven decision-making; and improved communications with the actors involved in the process. Its customers have managed to increase the rate of effective deliveries, improve customer satisfaction, reduce costs associated with process traceability, improve compliance with process indicators, among others. ControlT is a SaaS platform.
GRONE Global Logistics, “door-to-door” freight forwarding
GRONE Global Logistics is a transport and logistics company of the international GRONE group, which offers “door-to-door” freight forwarding services worldwide.
This company specializes in air freight from Asia to Europe, with around 75 weekly flights. It has its own infrastructure and 26 offices in major Asian airports. GRONE transports cargo to Europe from anywhere in the world and finds logistics solutions with better transit times and better rates.
For her part, Blanca Sorigué, general director of the CZFB, stressed that “the balance we make one year after the launch of the Logistics 4.0 Incubator is very positive and reaffirms our commitment to having a platform that offers value-added services to the business, scientific and technological community, to design innovative products and processes that are transforming the logistics industry towards a more digital sector. connected and efficient.” Sorigué added that “this incubator is also a good opportunity to generate senior talent, as we have 8 initiatives that have been promoted by professionals over 50 years of age who are reorienting and diversifying some of the logistics subsectors”.
