Barcelona’s Zona Franca presents the first edition of the ZF Innovative Ecosystem Conference

  • Organized by the CZFB with the collaboration of AMEC, it aims to share innovation initiatives that are being promoted in the Zona Franca de Barcelona and generate synergies between the companies and entities that are leading the industrial transformation.

 

  • Within the framework of this conference, recognition will be given to the best projects that are being developed in the Zona Franca de Barcelona in terms of innovation in 4 categories: circular economy, collaboration, application of 4.0 technologies and Corporate CSR.

 

  • Leading companies such as Prezero, Apaprocessing or Cromogenia Units, will explain their models of success in the application of 4.0 technologies that have allowed them to develop an innovative industrial activity.

 

Barcelona, 3 February 2025.- ZF Innovative Ecosystem is the title of the new conference organized by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB), with the collaboration of AMEC, on 5 and 6 February at the DFactory Barcelona, with the main purpose of sharing different innovation initiatives that are being promoted in its area of activity. In the same way, this conference also aims to generate synergies between the companies and entities of the Zona Franca de Barcelona that are leading this industrial transformation necessary for the development of the new economy.

The day will start this Wednesday, February 5th, with a program focused on active networking between the companies and entities that are energizing the Zona Franca of Barcelona. The knowledge programme will begin with the presentation, by the special delegate of the State in the CZFB, Pere Navarro, of District 4.0 to all attendees. This will be followed by a round table moderated by Diego Guri, Deputy General Manager of AMEC, where leading companies in the Zona Franca de Barcelona, such as Prezero, Apaprocessing or 9Altitudes will explain their models of success in the application of 4.0 technologies that have allowed them to develop an innovative industrial activity.

Another of the outstanding sessions of the first day will present outstanding innovative ecosystems that are energizing industry 4.0 and will be moderated by the general director of the CZFB, Blanca Sorigué. In this regard, this session will present the models of Mercabarna, Port de Barcelona and Barcelona Health Hub.

The Awards for the most innovative companies in the Zona Franca de Barcelona will close the activity on the first day. In total, 4 innovation categories will be awarded: circular economy; projects carried out on the basis of collaboration with technology centers, universities or startups; application of 4.0 technologies; and with an impact on Corporate CSR. The Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona has received a total of 24 candidatures and on Wednesday, February 5th at 1pm the winners will be announced.

 On Thursday, February 6th, also at DFactory Barcelona, an innovation dynamic led by AMEC will be held. This session will deal with the main challenges presented by the current industry and will work in groups to find innovative solutions. Framed in four verticals (logistics 4.0, technology in industry, sustainability and new professional profiles), attendees will be able to take advantage of this opportunity to share ideas and solutions with the rest of the participating companies, while at the same time generating new opportunities for collaboration with other companies in this community and in the Free Trade Zone.
