Barcelona, January 25, 2024.- The Mediterranean Logistics & Transport week (MedaLogistics Week Barcelona) will celebrate its 20th edition on June 6 and 7, 2024. As in previous editions, the event will be held within the framework of SIL Barcelona, the leading trade fair in the Mediterranean and the Atlantic for Logistics, Transport, Intralogistics and Supply Chain, organised by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB).

Every year, MedaLogistics Week Barcelona, jointly organized by the CZFB and ASCAME (Association of the Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry), brings together leading international experts from the industry, including logistics, maritime, transport and infrastructure. In its 20th edition, the congress is committed to becoming the logistics summit of the three continents: Europe, Africa and Asia, focusing on the Mediterranean, as a global axis of development and growth open to the world, and on transport and logistics, as the backbone of any economy. Among other topics, it will address: the diversification of the supply chain, geopolitical considerations, digital transformation, sustainability, the situation of ports, airports and logistics centres, with the aim of offering a holistic vision of how the sector can collaborate and how the Mediterranean can once again be the hub of trade and investment that unites the three continents through logistics.

MedaLogistics Week Barcelona has become the most important conference in the Mediterranean region in the field of logistics, focusing its sessions and debates on the latest knowledge and trends in international trade, economy, transport, logistics, manufacturing and distribution. In them, for two days, experts in the field address the existing needs around geopolitics and the resilience of the supply chain at an international level.

The special delegate of the State in the CZFB, Pere Navarro, highlights that “it is no coincidence that the SIL and the MedaLogistics Week Barcelona are benchmark events that year after year bring together the most outstanding professionals in a sector that moves the world and that, in each edition, presents new challenges and new opportunities, as well as solutions and innovations that incorporate the latest advances in robotics, automation, Blockchain and all kinds of technologies, as we will see this year.”

For the director of the CZFB, Blanca Sorigué, “it is a source of pride to see how MedaLogistics Week Barcelona grows and maintains its leadership as a benchmark congress with the help of the SIL. We have been walking together for many years and we hope for many more. 20 years ago, we were pioneers in holding a forum that focused on the Mediterranean and it has proven to be a very successful bet”.

The coordinator of MedaLogistics Week Barcelona, Anwar Zibaoui, points out that “on this 20th anniversary we want to continue broadening our horizons and transform the event into a great platform for reflection, contact, connection and investment for the logistics and transport community of the three continents: Europe, Africa and Asia, united by the Mediterranean”.
