Barcelona, January 12, 2024.- Blanca Sorigué, general director of the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB), has been awarded the 11th edition of the Admira 2023 Prize, held yesterday in Madrid and aimed at recognizing the professional career, performance and achievements in favour of logistics, together with the personal values of the award-winner.

Specifically, Blanca Sorigué’s work has been recognised for her promotion of logistics on the 25th anniversary of SIL Barcelona, held last June 2023, and for having opted to promote innovation and revalue the role of logistics in industry 4.0. The great work carried out by the general manager has made it possible to position SIL Barcelona – the benchmark trade fair for Logistics, Transport, Intralogistics and Supply Chain in Spain, the Mediterranean and Latin America – as the most representative event of the logistics sector in Spain and one of the most important sectoral events in Europe.

During the award ceremony, Blanca Sorigué expressed her gratitude for this recognition and stated  that “I am proud to receive this award because it is given by media professionals, a fact that gives it a lot of value because they carry out a very important job, at the same time that they have a great knowledge and vision of the sector. For me personally, it is a huge stimulus that encourages me to continue promoting innovative and sustainable projects that allow the proper development and growth of the logistics sector.” Sorigué also wanted to highlight that “the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona has always supported the logistics sector by organising the International Logistics Exhibition (SIL), which in the last edition celebrated its 25th anniversary as the great international benchmark event in the sector. SIL is the only event where all sectors of the logistics chain are represented, serving as a key lever for the growth and development of logistics, not only locally, but globally.”

The last edition of SIL Barcelona, held in June 2023, closed with more than 15.000 participants, with 650 companies, 40% of them international, and more than 250 events. The logistics sector fair in Spain brought together a wide range of exhibitors who presented more than 150 new products on technological solutions, innovations and specialized services in logistics, transport, intralogistics, distribution, last mile, among others. Currently, the entire CZFB team is already working on the organization of its next edition, which will be held from June 5 to 7 2024.

Since 2013, the Admira Award has been a posthumous tribute to Andrés Mira, journalist, founder and director of the magazines Operadores Logísticos and Cruises News, who died in August 2012. This award is given by a group of media professionals specialising in transport and logistics, acting in a personal capacity.
