DFactory Barcelona incorporates Lenze, a leading company in industrial automation solutions

Barcelona, March 13, 2026.- The DFactory Barcelona ecosystem continues to expand with the addition of Lenze, a global provider of industrial automation and drive technology solutions. This morning, the executive chairman and the general director of the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona, Pere Navarro and Blanca Sorigué, held a welcome event with Lenze’s managing director, Óscar Chaves, with whom they had a meeting marking the start of the company’s activity within the internationally renowned Industry 4.0 ecosystem promoted by the CZFB.
Lenze is joining DFactory Barcelona to strengthen collaboration, the development of advanced solutions, and digital transformation across key sectors. It is worth highlighting that the company offers mechatronic products, complete hardware and software systems for motion control, frequency inverters, motors, gearboxes, and digital services designed for Industry 4.0. Lenze aims to optimise production processes and improve energy efficiency in sectors such as logistics, consumer goods, material processing, and robotics, among others.
Óscar Chaves, managing director of Lenze, explained that “our presence in DFactory reflects Lenze’s commitment to digital transformation and innovation in Industry 4.0. This ecosystem enables us to collaborate with technology companies, share knowledge, and develop advanced solutions in automation, connectivity, and digitalisation, aligned with IoT, Big Data and smart manufacturing trends”.

Finally, Blanca Sorigué, general director of the CZFB, also highlighted the incorporation of Lenze into the DFactory Barcelona ecosystem, noting that it “strengthens our commitment to innovation, digital transformation and talent attraction. DFactory Barcelona has established itself as an international benchmark that brings together cutting‑edge technology and creative talent, where multinationals, innovation centres and SMEs converge to address global challenges from Barcelona.”
The incorporation of Lenze reinforces DFactory Barcelona’s position as an international reference point in Industry 4.0, promoting creativity and talent, knowledge exchange and the application of disruptive technologies to tackle future challenges. DFactory Barcelona currently hosts more than 40 companies and is now close to full occupancy. The internationally renowned Industry 4.0 ecosystem has already begun its expansion works, which will increase its current 17,000 m² to a planned 60,000 m² through the construction of four new buildings. The first buildings of this expansion are expected to be completed by the end of next year, allowing new companies to move in at the beginning of 2027.
