Barcelona, 27 April 2026. – The International Logistics Exhibition of Barcelona (SIL Barcelona), organized by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB), continues to strengthen its position as one of the leading international trade fairs in the fields of logistics, transport, intralogistics, and supply chain. The 28th edition of the event, which will take place from June 3 to 5 at Fira Barcelona – Montjuïc, will focus on the global landscape with the introduction of new international conferences analyzing the worldwide context and its impact on international trade and the supply chain.
One of the new highlights is the International Logistics Summit, which will bring together organizations such as the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), Spanish Shippers Council (ESC), GSA, Alliance for Logistics Innovation through Collaboration in Europe (ALICE), the European Logistics Association (ELA), TuComex, and the Institute for Careers and Innovation in Logistics & Supply Chain (ICIL). The conference will be held on Wednesday, June 3, and will feature several sessions addressing the future outlook of the supply chain, its challenges and opportunities in a context of regional tensions, responses to current disruptions, as well as new opportunities arising from recent trade agreements, innovation, and European policies, among other topics.
Pere Navarro, Executive President of the CZFB and President of SIL, emphasizes that “we are fully aware of Barcelona’s potential as an international logistics hub, and through SIL Barcelona we actively contribute to this positioning by serving as a meeting point for the sector and a forum for debate on global developments and their impact on the supply chain. To this end, we work with top‑level international partners who have first-hand knowledge of the situation and who support us in analyzing not only the challenges, but above all the opportunities offered by the new international context”.
Along the same lines, also on Wednesday, June 3, SIL Barcelona will host the Spain Air Cargo Day, organized in collaboration with the Air Cargo Club, the Air Cargo Commission of Barcelona‑Catalunya Centre Logístic (BCL), and the Spanish Shippers’ Association (ACE). The sessions scheduled throughout the day will analyze the current state of Spanish air cargo, air trade flows in the new geopolitical context, the consolidation of e‑commerce as a driver of air freight, the impact of customs changes and new liberalization agreements with Mercosur and India, as well as the innovation systems that will shape the future of air cargo. The presentation of success stories and other networking activities will round off this initiative, whose objective is to highlight the role of air cargo in a global context within the framework of the trade fair.
In this regard, Blanca Sorigué, CEO of the CZFB and of SIL, points out that “at SIL Barcelona we strive to maintain our international positioning while continuing to be the key meeting point for the sector, where the entire supply chain is represented. Aware that this is not easy and that representation levels of the different parts of the chain vary from one edition to another, this year we have chosen to give greater visibility to the air cargo sector, showcasing its work and its contribution to the supply chain, international trade, and the global economy”.
These new conferences will complement others already established in the event’s calendar, such as MedaLogistics Barcelona, which will also take place on Wednesday, June 3 in collaboration with ASCAME, as well as the technical conferences organized by COACAB and UNO, to be held on the morning of Thursday, June 4. In addition, SIL Knowledge will feature further sessions focusing on the impact of geopolitics and the new world order on the supply chain.
As for the exhibition area, SIL Barcelona already confirms that 30% of the participating companies come from countries such as Germany, Andorra, Argentina, Belgium, Chile, China, the United Arab Emirates, Slovakia, the United States, France, Hungary, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands, Peru, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Romania, Turkey, and Switzerland, among others, and expects a similar level of international participation among visitors.
