Unique industry 4.0 ecosystem
The CZFB opened the doors of the DFactory Barcelona just a year and a half ago with the aim of being the factory of the future, promoting and developing industry 4.0, new talent and new technologies and investments, in a unique space. In this environment a much more sustainable, new way of producing is materialized. The companies, which develop cutting-edge projects in the field of 3D printing, robotics, cybersecurity and blockchain, artificial intelligence and sensor technology, have the possibility to generate synergies and establish alliances with the rest of the organizations in the building.
The project is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda, facilitating the digitalisation of industry as a key lever for the ecological transition and boosting the circular economy by adopting new sustainable production systems and advanced manufacturing.
The ecosystem currently counts with a 17,000m2 facility on four floors, where around 30 companies have already installed themselves and where around 500 people work, with an 80% occupancy rate in just one year.
Some of the most networthy companies that are part of the business ecosystem of DFactory Barcelona are HP, Picvisa, e-Miles Company, NTT Data, On Robot, Alisys, Windforce, Leitat, AsorCAD, Mastertec 3D, Witeklab, Kuka Iberia, Imhoit, VDMHealth, Nexiona, Girbau, Innovae, Stratasys, Ariño Design, Amphos 21, SioCast, ICIL Lab, among others.
Moreover, during the 2023 financial year it is scheduled to start planning the second phase of the emblematic building, which will allow it to reach a further 72,000 square metres in the coming years.
